I have been DJing now for 10 yrs. I have always wanted to be a DJ. I used to use an old CD player and an even older record deck to blend tracks together for my mates. As soon as I was old enough to work I saved up to buy a set of decks. I started off on a Realistic Record deck and a Pioneer one and a Realistic Mixer I paid £250 and i thought they were the bee knees.

I eventually upgraded to a set of Memorex 302s with pitch control (it was a slidey knob on the base of the deck) I kept them for 12 months before selling them on and investing in an old pair of Technics 1200s. After a few years and numerous parties they decided to give up the ghost and of the went to TT Heaven.

I then invested in my trusty pair of 1210s. Which i still use to this day.

I don't really have any favorite DJs. But DJs who have influenced me are Sasha, Trevor Rockcliffe, Ratty and Tony De Vit.

I don't really have a style of Music just anything that Hard Edge or Raw.. No cheesy stuff just good up lifters. I play variety of music from Trance, Techno, House and Classics

I have done a few clubs in the North West and one in Wales promoted my own Nights and worked in church halls and mates front rooms. I have also worked on a couple of Radio Stations Fresh FM and Slash FM under my alter ego of Vinyl Matt. Fresh FM was a pirate Radio Station and we broad casted out of a Caravan i must admit they were the best times ever..

Our fan Base was unbelievable (shame about the bosses) Splash FM was the Fresh FM hybrid when Fresh FM was busted the bosses decided to apply for a 28 day RSL and Splash FM was born. I lasted the first license on this and was eventually sacked when the bosses cashed in on sponsorship and got a load of cheesy Blackpool DJs to fill the airwaves.

I then decided to promote my own nights with a few other fellow DJs we started Revival - Old School House, Phayze - Hard House & Trance, SpaceStation - Hard House.

This leads me to present day i'm currently DJing for Studio Sessions.. which is a night that is organised every season we are currently trying to organise an open air summer party for 2002!

I'm also resident at DEKADE which is new night set up at Blue. we play classic House music from 1989 to 1999 they are held every 3rd Thursday of the month.
